Apparently, it won't matter how much it costs.
Some people will do anything to have one, as evidenced by one of the comments on that webpage - "Wow! I will prostitute myself for one."

The BIG news: Parrot AR.Drone will be available for purchase at selected
retailers in SEPTEMBER 2010 in the United States for US$299 MSRP!

Their site is also now live!!

This is cheaper than I expected by about 200, can't wait to get one.

Bestbuy Canada has them on pre-order... "in there warehouse Nov. 1, 2010"

I would expect to see them on the shelves some time after that.

Bringing this thread back as I just noticed on the FS website the Parrot AR Drone on sale for $299
Not cheap, but still as cool as when I first heard about it.

a local nerd/hobby shop has one


I've flown it about a dozen times now

only 8 minutes or so of flight time per charge






but omg it's awesome, lol

You can fly full 3d for about 200$ at your local hobby shops. with an rc heli.. The iphone thing was cool. Got the attention of bunch of guys at my rc club thats for sure
