I'm looking for 40ft of the white RG-6 cable that Rogers technicians use for installation.
The cable must have attached compression fittings. If anyone knows where I can buy this or is able to make a 40ft span from a roll they may have laying around please let me know the cost. Thank you. |

Probably help if we know where you are. If you're on Vancouver Island, I have about 800ft. sitting in my crawl space that you'd be welcome to hack off what you like (but I'm guessing you're not nearby

A 15 meter length of RG-6, white, with fittings, is about 16 bucks at Home Depot.

I have about 50ft right now, but wanted something 10ft shorter. I don't have the tools to make it shorter and was told a bad connection could really affect signal quality, hence why I hoping someone with the expertise make a 40ft span.

Cut your cable at the length you want and put on one of the twist on RG6 connectors (also available at HD). I've used them for lots of indoor connections (switch and receiver connections) with no signal degradation - they bite into the plastic cable insulation and lock on with surprising tenacity. They are more expensive than the crimp on connectors as you don't need any special tools, but it's a lot cheaper than having a new cable made or buying a crimper.
