My old TV only went up to 1080i, but my new TV goes up to 1080p. I really only notice it while watching HD-DVD/Blu Ray movies or on my Xbox360. Even though the games aren't produced in true 1080p. Those are the only times I truly notice a difference, but getting 1080p is worth it just for that reason.
