I'd definitely go larger sub. And I too am an SVS fan. They are leader is quality/value subs. I'd recommend larger, something like the PB12. It is always better to underdrive a larger sub than overdrive a smaller one. Headroom is a good thing. And you'll get the real tactile sensory perception.
FWIW I have a PB12+/2 and in the future I will upgrade to two PB Ultra's or the next gen. I have friends with higher end subs than me; 4 of them in a room. Amazing stuff. |

I don't know what your budget is but you could just build your own sub.
I jsut finished a sonosub project that shakes the house. |

never built one so don't know what's involved.
I'm going to put the room together and see how it sounds. Definitely think I'll go with a bigger sub though. |

Sub every time. The proper sized sub should shake you seat enough.

I'm going against the grain here. I like my tactile transducers. If they are Xover properly and adjusted properly, your brain will fool you into thinking that you're listening to lower bass sound without the expense (be it $$, space or loudness) of having larger sub.
