Default OK Paramount...where is TRANSFORMERS???

Finally, they sheepishly announce the return to Blu, except for the titles they yanked out of peoples hands last year...Top Gun, Shrek 3, Transformers. You'd think they'd try to repair their credibility by issuing these titles first. Just my wish list...

Ask Michael Bay. He knows everything.

Repair credibility? Are you kiddin'?
They don't give a rat's a$$ what you think. They got their money and are probably better off than other studios.

I suspect they wait for Transformers 2 and are going to release both at the same time...

Man I hated Transformers... I couldn't care less if it ever came out on blu haha

That whole scene when the kid is trying to hide the transformers in the back yard was worse than Fonzy 'jumping the shark' on Happy Days!

Heh. They re-mastered it at a higher bit-rate for Blu-ray but Bay was not satisfied. He said he could not tell the difference from the HD DVD so he made them crank it higher. He's waiting until it looks and sounds better on Blu-ray than it did on HD DVD.

Ahhhh... I missed this forum.

But Bay said he had already seen it on Blu-ray and it was way better. "Nicer colours" was one of this comments too, if I remember correctly.

Damn that Blu-ray format for having nicer colours than HD DVD!

FWIW, this statement was made by Amir (if you know who this is, you most probably know where to find his post)

There were two versions of Transformers. One in VC-1 and faithful to the source. And one in AVC and not.
The creative decision maker picked the latter which goes to show you, that it is not just the users that might crave softer, more pleasant images.
