Grey's Anatomy Thursday on HD

Just wondering if anyone had the same problem. I taped Grey's Anatomy HD on my DVR as well as Lost. Lost came in fine but Grey's anatomy only shows a big "available in HD" symbol in the middle of the screen. It also had the audio but no picture.

What's the deal?

I had the same problem here in Chatham. Although I have had many instances of the program freezing and not being able to forward through (mainly on Fox HD), this is the first time I have had sound but not picture. I also notice that the time does not move, however the audio is fine.

i had the exact same problem as well in stoney creek. grey's was messed up, but lost came in fine.

I had this problem with the program of Mar 24 and May 1. My wife's favourite program and she is not happy!

For 2 weeks in a row now, when I record Grey's Anatomy and Brothers And Sisters to my PVR I get the same thing. NOTHING records! This sucks. Needless to say the wife is none too pleased.....

The wife factor is huge. How to explain why we're paying so much, yet shows don't record. And then I end up having to illegally download a torrent.

cant believe it happened last night for 3rd time in a row. not only this, but many series that we've had scheduled from the past few months have been screwing up regularly.
its getting very annoying considering its 20/month just to rent any form of a pvr from cogeco

OK, This has been happenning to my wife for the last 3 weeks as well. She has a working theory. She's noticed that our 6416 will lock up and not record when the show preceeding the one we're going to tape has been simsub'ed from CITY-TV. We also notice something similar on our bedroom TV. I have it set to shut off automatically at 1:30am every night, we watch ABC news as we go to bed, after news and Nightline, CITY-TV subs in and shows Jimmy Kimmel Live. When we turn on our set in the morning, the picture is frozen and we have to change the channel and back again to get ABC to show live again. We're using Mot. 6416's on both TV, ones a Sharp and ones an LG both connected via HDMI.

I am inclined to believe this has something to do with it. If you check you'll see that Ugly Betty is Sub'ed over from CITY-TV at 8 before Grey's, but they don't do it for the west coast feed.

I've been noticing that too, I think the switch over is causing it. The image will freeze on the last frame from CityTV-HD but I'll have the whole audio of ABCE-HD. The problem with recording from ABCW-HD is I have this weird, light pink pixellation thing going on.

I have already given up on recording Hell's Kitchen from the east because each time I do it's simsubbed by CityTV-HD and it's in SD. If I record FOXW-HD it's HD.

When I first got HD Cogeco was great, they didn't simsub anything. The past several months though it's all over the place. They even simsub CTV over the western feeds when there isn't even a CTVW-HD!
