Messed up 505 - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Came home very late this moring (0400) turned on my tv and the guide has no data. Picked a channel watched for a while then could'n change channel's. Went to bed woke up and tried again it did's own rebot and then like a bug on windsheil nothing (lights up and all but no picture or guide). Try my own rebot nada . Unplugged it and sat cable for 10min still no paddle.

Is this a problem for many users, or is there anything else I can try? Made the phone call to *c and it's looking like dmv wait time !

Id Give *c a call sounds like something got scambled just be sure to call realy early or realy late to get a short wait time.

Press and hold the power button on the receiver, it will reboot and reload the guide.

I Think the OP said he did a reboot and tried unpluging it as well neither worked.

If the unit is stuck with bars lit but nothing on screen after the reset obviously try hitting power as the receiver doesnt always power itself back on if it stays stuck that way try pressing the red button under the *c logo twice.
