I just got MTS TV installed a few weeks ago, I must say that I am rather impressed with it ATM.
The only issue i seem to have is that I can not get 5.1 from any TV program (CSI, Simpsons all have 5.1 audio if the provider supplies it) I have the MTS box directly hooked up to my Dolby capable receiver via an optical cable. I have the RG2400 receiver, which clearly states on the front that it is Dolby capable. I looked through the setup menu, and found no where to change the audio settings. Does MTS not offer 5.1 on their non-HI def boxes or is there a setting I am missing?

Please see the following post on the subject of DD5.1.
http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=17870 The SD channels are all DD2.0, except for the Movie channels. Outside of that, only the HD channels have DD5.1.

I have the MTS HD service and can get 5.1, but only on the HD channels. The volume does have to be turned up.

Does it still work (DD 5.1) on Movie Central, currently ?
I don't seem to get it, even for movies advertised with the feature. I tried to contact MTS about it, but they still haven't answered my email. |
