I've got the Phillips dvd 5960 and the sony kdf-55e200 tv. (over component)
Does it make any sense to spend $200/$300 on a hdmi cable. There are $20cables out there or even less on ebay. How do they compare to those expensive ones? |

It makes no sense to pay more than say $20 if the cable is less than 10'. See the following threads.

You may also note that it does not make much difference for other cables such as Optical (toslink), coaxial, etc. $20 will get you pretty much the same quality as > 100 ones.

Thx. That's what I thought. How big of an improvement can I expect with hdmi over component.
