The last few days since the Catalyst 6.11's have been out, I have tinkered with using the ATI MPEG codec instead of the NVidia Pure Video. I notice that on HD content, it seems to glitch every 30 to 60 seconds. The glitch is in the form of a black screen for 2 seconds with no audio and then the audio and video return at the same time.
I tried the codec on both MCE systems and they both do it. One has a X1300 Pro and the other has a X1600 Pro. Any ideas or should I just never leave the PureVideo world? |

Never leave the PureVideo world.
Is ATI actually making their own decoder now? They used to just license the Cyberlink decoder but I don't know if that's still the case. |

LOL!!! That is what I figured...
Not entirely sure. I just know that if you look in the MCE utility for checking your decoder, there are 3 ATI lines since Cat 6.10. |
