Default Nasa Tv

I am interested in FTA Satellite TV for NASA TV and since the CRTC wont approve NASA TV to be broadcasted in Canada, my only options is FTA. Now, do I need a C-band dish to pick up NASA TV or can I use any of the small dishes. I live in a apartment complex and I do not have the luxury of installing a C-Band dish.

NASA TV is unencrypted and open on EchoStar 7 (119 deg west) Ku band. I'm using my old Bell dish and Bell Circular LNB temporarily while the shuttle is space to watch.

Details: Freq 12370 R tp 11

It is on a Dish network satellite however being unencrypted and viewable by any FTA receiver it should be legal according to this:

I'm watching the NASA channel right now... some amazing footage I've seen on here today from cameras that were mounted on the SRB's.

Very cool when SRB separation takes place and you feel like you’re riding the thing. It turns and slowly falls back to Earth... very nice

Yesterday was the first time I had opportunity to watch an EVA of the shuttle crew. It was to install a truss on the space station. Some amazing shots from the helmet cams of the space walkers, especially when the shuttle itself was visible in the background.
Next EVA's are scheduled for Thursday and Saturday.

Yes, an unsubbed DN recvr. can pick up NASA TV for free. But go with a FTA to get the other free channels on the 110/119.

I think one of the other DBS sites have a list of all the FTA channels on DN.

Well, it looks like I dont need to set up another dish as NASA TV has been approved by the CRTC... Thanks CRTC for realizing that Canada is a major part of the exploration of space

Good luck at finding on Canadian TV anytime soon. At least Shaw backed it, so you may fine it on Shaw/SC. IMO is is more "secure" to get a DN 119 system for it though, as I have.

I am a starchoice customer. I sent them an email asking if they will be showing nasa tv. I recieve a response stating that nasa tv should be on the air with starchoice by the end of the year or so.. maybe sooner
