Hello everyone,
i was just looking at the Sirius Canada website and seen they now offer the MiRGE satellite radio. this radio will allow you to have both a Sirius and XM sub on one radio. i think when they offered this in the US they had a special plan for this radio to get both services but i do not see a plan like that on the Sirius or XM canada website so i am not really sure how this would work here in canada http://shop.sirius.ca/edealinv/servl...rLangISO=en_US |

The sale of interoperable radios by the end of 2011 was a CRTC requirement in order to get approval for the merger. i.e./ They are selling this because they have to.

Sirius XM told me these radios were selling poorly in the U.S. so they didn't expect to sell very many at all in Canada.

you would think from a business perspective they would make all new radios function with both services. This way 7years + down the road they could try to transition those with older radios and retire a satellite fleet.
