Default iPhone 2 year Plan

My current Rogers contract ends in March. I am looking to get an iPhone 4S. Does anyone know where I can get one with a 2 year plan. 3 years is too long. By 2015, the 4S will be a paperweight. I got my 3G in 2008 and it can't even run the new O/S without some issues.

Everywhere but Canada, unfortunately.

You can pick one up at the Apple store but your choice is 3 years or 0 years.

I opted for the 0 years option and then Koodo mobile for a micro-sim.

Yup - I was in the same situation.
Bit the bullet on the full-price 4s (unlocked), and then I can upgrade when I want (and probably sell my "old" phone for ~$200 less than my newest Apple object of desire, thus making my effective price close to the upgrade price after my one-time big layout of cash).

My cost benefit analysis included what we will be saving in monthly payments (purchased another 4s outright as a xmas gift) for the years.

After a little more than 2 years the phones will be paid for from the cell service savings.

Also, the greatest advantage will be that we can use the phone anywhere when we travel - just need to purchase a local sim.

How do you save on the monthly service compared to signing a contract? In my experience, I have paid the same regardless if I was in a contract or not, with the big three anyways.
