Retention savings.
i have VIP Digital movie plus...an old package, plus HD specialty.
They offered 25% off cable services

I have Express internet
25% off services plus no modem rental

all for 1 year...

saved about $50 a month for services. Is that pretty good.

During the past year or so (link in post 1), people have been able to negotiate about 10-30% discounts depending on their level of service. Some have even negotiated free STBs. So, yes, yours is pretty good.

That's not spring you are smelling...

Wow Rogers.....2 dollars increase on the basic offerings...really!?

Why a 6% increase...how do you justify that?

May as well have just said $2 increase on basically everything . The rich just keeps getting richer by these "necessary" increases. Anymore come spring and its another increase. Sad that its almost become time to move on from or get a LOT less from them .
They should have to justify why they need the increases because as far as cable goes, they don't deserve an increase seeing we have the 1990's guide still

Default Rogers Different Within Toronto?

I am in North York and have friends in Scarborough and we both have the same basic cable (I just checked their bill to compare). They get the food network (on a different channel than mine, if I did get it) and OLN in their basic cable and I get neither of those. There may be other channels also like this, but these are the two main ones I noticed. We both have the same model 8300HD PVR. This has been going on at least 1.5 years since they moved to Scarborough. I know Food was on free preview recently and I got it then, but this comparison was just done last night.
Is this normal or did they just "get lucky" and Rogers screwed up?

Default W Movies HD stating not authorized...

On channel W Movies HD (564) is states that it is not authorized. I have the SD version, so why not the HD? Is anyone else having a problem with this channel also? Thanks!

If you're paying for it and not able to receive, you should call Rogers. I don't get either HD or SD because I don't pay for them.

Maybe they moved it to a different tier. Getting it in SD is no guarantee you should get it in HD. I get TSN in SD but not HD.

Default W Movies HD. Anyone getting this?

I called to inquire about the cost of this channel and was told it should be included in the VIP package. Anyone getting the HD version on 564?

Default Rogers's Personal TV

Hi Everyone,

I was doing a Google search for online for Rogers Cable TV plans; and found this link:

http://*******.com/bqgftau

I posted the same info at RedFlag, but thought this would be a better place to query it.

The link looks valid, as the URL roots to the Rogers.com.

The deal for Rogers Basic cable + Channels 41-71 for $17.50 looks awesome!

A little about me:

My one year plan ends on Sept 5th, and I had the 20% VIP + Free HDPVR.

However, I am trying to find a way to lessen the cost of "extras" but would like to maintain at least a package which has "Treehouse TV" for the kids. (The MeTV plan looks good)

I already own two two SD and two HD receivers and don't need anything else (I used the PVR once and didn't even watch it).

Can anyone comment? Suggestions?
---------------------
Ok, to find the link; do a google search for: Digital Cable Package Pricing – Rogers
It will be the second "unsponsored" link labled: Rogers.com - Cable TV Package & Price Look-up

Is this valid? Can anyone comment?
