As sensational a headline this is, I don't have a problem with the judgement.
I agree that murderers should be in prison and I agree that some rights, such as the ability to vote should be taken from criminals, however, I don't think they should be treated like animals or abused by the prison staff. Jailers must be held accountable for abuse of prisoners.

^^^ It is a bit sensational as a headline. I just can't understand why the guy wasn't given a new pair of shoes considering iIf the settlement was $6000 the total cost i.e. lawyers, court costs etc. must have been much more.
