So many iconic Buffalo broadcasters that we Southern Ontario residents grew up with - and Ed is right up there.
Hard to believe the man's been there 38 years!
It's unreal how the Buffalo affiliate stations, primarily the newscasts and the commercials, have influenced people growing up in southern Ontario. Everyone knows the call letters: WKBW, WGRZ, WIVB, and WUTV. Popular personalities such as Irv Weinstein, Mylous Hairston, Kevin O'Connell, plus syndicated (and network) shows, and famous commercial catchphrases and jingles such as "Huuuuuge" and "Celino and Barnes" are ingrained in our minds.
Cheektowaga, Tonawanda, Kenmore... everyone's heard of these suburbs of Buffalo! The power of media! Amazing.
You always know the Canadians at the Bills games. They are the ones singing the Celino and Barnes jingle when the ad comes up over the PA.
