I purchased a refurb 6208 today from my cable company. I looked at the spec sheet and it said
A high-definition TV-capable DVR digital cable set-top for hours of recording.
Motorola’s DCT6208 set-top combines high-definition television with recording capabilities, allowing you to pause
live TV and record programs even while watching another live or recorded program.

Now, Am I missing soemthing ? Because when I try to record something I'm watching and then try and change the channel I get a Big message saying, do you want to stop the recording and change the channel, or stay on the current channel. How am I supposed to be able to record something and be able to watch tv at the same trime is it suggests ?
Maybe someone can explain something to me that I'm missing. Do I have to go into the guide first and then hit record, and then be able to change channels while its recording ? :confused:

The 6208 only has 1 tuner. You can play back a recorded show while you're recording a show but you can't watch another channel.
