My name is Dexter Skinner.
I'm posting for the first time. The real reason why I'm here is because I have a 42" plasma Panasomic TV Model TH-42PX600U.
I have purchased this tv over 18 months ago and over a week ago I began to have a minor problem.
Today when I turn TV on it automaticly goes to TV Guide. I need to reset this tv based on what was told to me by Panasonic. I was told to extract the Cable card and then push simultaneously SLEEP and VOLUME DOWN button to reset the TV and it does not seem to reset the unit.
Does anyone else have similar experience with this unit and what was the solution?

I got it all resolved. The volume control had to be pressed on the television not the remote..The sleep will be pressed on the remote.

Hi SKINNEDR, I didn't realize that was a problem I too have that same scenario but I thought that was normal. So what happens when you set it? Tv guide no longer shows on start up?
