Anyone having Sympatico mail authentication issues, I noticed on Thursday my username/password box came up? but got in with a couple of clicks....then last night clicking on the password popup box, it would not connect at all with an authentication error....tried on 2 machines, same deal, tried calling 310-SURF, I hung up after 1 hr, this usually indicates many users are calling for support....so today, the error is different, it doesn't say authentication error, it now say "Your password was rejected"......anyone else having this issue...is it a wait and see or did the authentication servers go corrupt or something and after it was fixed, I have to get a new password???

Try logging in via Sympatico webmail i.e. getmail.sympatico.ca. If you can't get in via the web portal either, then chances are, it's a problem on Sympatico's end.

I was just doing that and it works fine which is ok to get mail but I really don't like the web interface, I have a live/hotmail account, same inbox etc....I really like Outlook 2007 to access server mail....still something is up...a friend of mine is having the same problems....I think Bell changed something and didn't tell anyone, wouldn't surprise anyone here I am sure....LOL

I had the same problems for a few days last week. The problem seems to have gone away now.

I'm having an issue with smtpa.bellnet.ca. Windows Mail and Outlook Express on different pc's in 3 different countries won't let me send emails. pop.bellnet.ca works fine. As does webmail.en.bellnet.ca.
Keeps popping up to login, even when I do. Seems it won't accept my username and password on the account.
