NB Josh 2009-03-27, 09:56 PM But she came after Dharma left, didn't she?
Right now it would be kind of hard to live on your own, because one side or the other is going to find you and probably kill you.
reppact 2009-04-02, 09:11 AM I'm surprised no-one mentioned that the Global/Bell TV simsub cut off the last 2 minutes of Lost last night on ABC.
What a bunch of idiots over there.
Lindsay649 2009-04-02, 10:52 AM The show is like a gigantic jigsaw puzzle......some pieces are starting to fit together but remains frustrating as it appears (at times) that a few pieces are still missing.

Missed some good stuff to from what I have heard, now I will have to find it by other means

Yes, that was incredibly frustrating. I set it to PVR the late feed so I can see the end and "Next week on LOST"...
I believe yesterday was the last episode of Life on Mars, so hopefully Global can leave us alone.
denben73 2009-04-02, 01:04 PM Sorry......but the simsub snafu will keep going on and on.
"The Unusuals" is taking over the 10PM slot on ABC and also on Global.
ABC will still be showing Lost until 10:02 so the stupidity will more than likely continue, I hate to say.:(
faston 2009-04-02, 02:35 PM I loved the scene of the two characters on Lost trying to figure out Lost and then just giving up because it made their heads hurt. :p
NB Josh 2009-04-02, 04:08 PM And I loved Hurley's thoughts about Ben not knowing Sayid when hes grown up too. Obviously its possible that Ben knew who Sayid was and never mentioned it, but it was still something I've thought of too.
....simsub cut off the last two minutes....So, is that what happened? I thought I was getting the ABC feed, and then there was the abrupt cut near the end; then some US commercials. So I thought that someone at ABC-Boston had messed up.
I was watching (via pvr) on the BellTV ABC-E HD feed.

Perhaps it's covered by what Richard said...Something to the effect that if Richard took Ben, Ben wouldn't remember this has happened, his innocence would be lost, and he'd always be one of them (Hostiles/Others). Rather general statement that could mean Ben won't remember who shot him.
oilblue 2009-04-03, 02:57 AM ...simsub cut off the last 2 minutes...
For those still wondering what happened at the end, here's my recollection (probably went back too far, but I don't know where it cut for you)Kate and Sawyer, surrounded by Others who have them at gunpoint, meet Richard. Richard asks if that's Benjamin Linus. They say yeah, and he's been shot...so that's a problem. They brought him in the hopes Richard can save his life. (see my post above for Richard's response) Given that, he asks if they're sure. They both say "Yes", and hand over Ben to Richard. One of the Others/Hostiles says that Richard shouldn't do that without checking with "Ellie" (sp?) first, and what if Charles finds out... Richard snaps back "Let him find out, we don't answer to either of them". Richard carries Ben into the jungle, backs through a door...
And the scene jumps to Locke's time line. Ben wakes up to see John Locke looking at him. Locke says "Welcome to the land of the living"...with Ben looking rather shocked (to me, he was not happy to see Locke alive).
In the 70's time line, my guess is Richard heals Ben, and returns him to Dharma as an agent of doom (the Purge happens). Stage is set for that anyway.
That'll have to wait though, as it appears next episode will be Locke's time line. The preview hyped it as judgement day for Ben (apparently he broke the rules, and returned to be judged). Judged for what? Returning? The off-island murders? It could be a long list, though I guess that depends on what the Island rules are...
There's always Lostpedia (http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) too. Great resource.
dosborne 2009-04-03, 07:52 AM I loved the scene of the two characters on Lost trying to figure out Lost and then just giving up because it made their heads hurt. :pDefinitely one of the best parts of the whole series to date IMO.
And I loved Hurley's thoughts about Ben not knowing Sayid when hes grown up too. Obviously its possible that Ben knew who Sayid was and never mentioned it, but it was still something I've thought of too.My understanding for that is simple. He wouldn't "remember" it in the future until it had actually happened in the past similar to (darn - what's his name - the guy they found in the hatch orgiinally) and Danial. They don't "remember" things they were told until it happens in the past since events are linear. I actually found this made a lot of sense and was disappointed during the conversation when they were trying to discuss this that it wasn't explained as I thought they had this covered in other episodes.
I think over the long run Hurley has been my favourite character due to the humourous aspects, but Kate is definitely up there in the list :)
Perhaps it's covered by what Richard said...Yes, I took this as an indication that perhaps his memory would be wiped in some way. In any case he would not be the same person in the future.
PHAND 2009-04-03, 05:31 PM Pet Semetary. You aren't the same when you are resurrected..
For those who want to know the ending. This is from ABC.

WHOOSH to the island as the Others take Kate, Sawyer and Ben to Alpert. Sawyer explains that he was shot, and Kate asks if Alpert can save him. Alpert tells them that if he does, Ben won't be the same again. He will forget this ever happened and that his innocence will be gone. And from then on he will be one of them. Sawyer and Kate look at each other. Do they still want Alpert to take him? Kate says yes. One of the Others warns Alpert he shouldn't be doing this without asking Ellie, and if Charles finds out... But Alpert says he doesn't answer to either of them.
Alpert carries Ben into the jungle and up to the Temple ruins where Montand lost his arm. Alpert looks at it with reverence and fear. He continues through a doorway to whatever lies behind the walls as we --
WHOOSH to Hydra island and the makeshift infirmary. John Locke sits besides adult Ben's bed as Ben wakes up. Locke says hello. Ben is very surprised to see Locke there. Locke seems pleased, though, as he welcomes Ben back to the land of the living.
BOOM
oilblue 2009-04-04, 06:56 PM Probably wouldn't hurt to have that enclosed in spoiler tags to make it easier for people to avoid if they don't want to read it.
Why? This is Season 5 discussion.
jayoldschool 2009-04-04, 08:50 PM Also, the episode has already happened, so it isn't a "spoiler"...
TVProducerguy 2009-04-05, 11:56 AM Just think, for those who haven't watched the episode yet, the events in the episode haven't happened yet for those people.....yet. Ahem, time for my red pills again I think. :o:rolleyes:
oilblue 2009-04-06, 02:21 AM Why? This is Season 5 discussion.
Yeah, but it's the final few minutes of the most recent episode. What's the harm in giving people a chance to avoid accidental reading? It's not like spoiler tags prevent you from posting or anything. Just means people have to highlight the text to read it. From the BB Code List page:
To mask "spoiler-ish" text, preventing accidental viewing but still making it available to those who do wish to read it by highlighting (click-dragging with the mouse) the spoiler text.
Anyway, it was just a suggestion.
BTW, excellent post TVProducerguy!
idrive 2009-04-06, 11:55 AM I don't know if this has been mentioned before but the full episodes are available on CTV's website ... for those who missed last minutes of the show !
