Following is from the Oiler news e-mail... doesn't make up for the loss of FOX HD, but ...

The Edmonton Oilers are adding another game to their pay-per-view roster, and breaking new ground in Western Canada by offering it in HDTV.

On Sunday, December 14, at 6:00 PM, the Oilers will play the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Although not originally scheduled for pay-per-view, the game has been added as a free bonus to all the Oilers fans that have already purchased the 10-game pay-per-view package. Fans without the package can still purchase an individual game package from Shaw Digital or Star Choice for only $10.95.

All Shaw Digital customers with a Shaw Motorola HD Digital Terminal will be able to view the pay-per-view game in HDTV on channel 138. The standard definition pay-per-view broadcast will run commercial-free on Shaw Digital channel 200.

I assume that this game is being picked up from HD Net as they have the same game showing at the same time.

The only bad thing about this is that in the press release it says that this game is only available to Shaw customers in Alberta.

Anyways, way to go Shaw Cable, and keep it comming.
