Bought a Sony KDL52W4100 at Future Shop 2 days ago and have had it running for a couple days now. I have started to notice a small flashlight in the bottom left corner and additionally on a totally black image I can see waves of lighter black. I think this is cloud clouding? Anyways, is this something I should send the TV back for? Or will I just get another TV with the same issue, or maybe worse?

On a full bright colour image everything looks great, but now I am drawn to that bottom left corner because I noticed it once.

Sounds like both the LCDs I own. Light leakage at the corners, and pixelated blacks. I like my plasma much better...

Try to perform a proper setup of the TV and see if that helps. Often the default settings are not very good for blacks. See:
