so I have a Mac and a PC connected via a router. I am able to see all my files on my PC via my Mac but I am unable to see any of my files/directories on my Mac from my PC - anyone have any insight into how can access my Mac from my PC?

I am no guru but ran into this yrs ago, I believe you would need some NetBIOS software for the mac....I was asked the same question about file sharing and discovered on the Mac the it had some trial software to accomplish this, it was called Dave by Thursby software and the trial had run out, I am guessing this software is not standard on a Mac.

James, as long as your Mac is running a recent version of Mac OS X, you should be able to do that without any third-party software. Let us know what version of Mac OS you have and we should be able to help you.

Generally speaking, you need to enable "Windows File Sharing" in System Preferences -> Sharing and set the Workgroup on your Mac to the same as your Windows computer.

As Power Key mentioned, make sure you have your file sharing prefs turned on. Also look at your Firewall settings on your Mac under Security, I think under Leopard it's default is turned on.

You definitely do not need any additional software to share files between your Mac and PC.
