I have noticed a problem with my television pixelating lately. Maybe i'm just being picky, but, hopefully someone can shed some light on the problem.
I have the Toshiba 52XV540U it has 120hz refresh rate.
On shows like "I Shouldn't be Alive" it does a lot of camera scenes where the picture shakes and they do a lot of zooming in and out. Basically the picture changes very fast.
In these scenes my TV is pixelated the for the duration of the scene. Is this something i need to just accept or is something in my television not working properly?

This is probably macroblocking and is normal on scenes with a lot of motion, some nature scenes with water, scenes with strobe lights or confetti, etc. Plenty of discusion of macroblocking on this forum.

A proper setup of the TV will help, but not eliminate the issue. Take the TV off the default picture mode, reduce the sharpness, turn off edge enhancements, etc. See the link below:

Remember that the signal that comes to you is compressed by a factor of over 50 from the original source material.
