Just ScanBe aware that by using Just Scan for watching TV, you may end up seeing things that shouldn't be seen, like VBI information, or sometimes coloured bars on the sides of HD programming, etc. I believe that this is only available when watching via HDMI? See the following post for additional information on that topic, including some tips:

These work for me right now except I run 16:9 as opposed to Just Scan. The settings I posted were recommendations from some one else who was trying to help. However, I should be receiving my DVD Essentials disc next week to somewhat improve my settings

Since this is a rear projection set, "Just Scan" will still produce some overscan (probably about 2.5%), so in most cases "things that shouldn't be seen" will not be visible.

"Just Scan" mode is only available if the input is 1080i or 1080p since this is the only size that can map 1 to 1 to the DLP chip.

Thanks scotta for reminding me of the difference in regard to RPTVs... I believe you've been kind enough to do that before, but I forget since I see so few RPTVs these days.

"Just Scan" mode is only available if the input is 1080i or 1080p...Is this true? If you feed a 720P signal, the just scan mode could still be used after the 720P signal is converted to 1080p, but, obviously you wouldn't benefit from any resolution enhancement (or lack of degradation) because the signal has been scaled.
