I'm looking into buying a new lcd. A 52'' Sharp Aquos to be exact. I was wondering at this size if comparrisons like 60hz to 120hz were more noticeable or what a good response time for a tv this size would be.

The specs state it has a 4ms which seems fairly average among most tvs I've looked at thus far and the contrast ratio is 2000:1...is that good? In various articles it is said that some complain of lcds making the picture look artificial and that colours and other aspects can attribute to picture more than just being merely 1080p. What else should I be looking at when searching?

Generally a lot of games will be played on it and I don't want a tv that leaves trails during fast paced scenes. I'll have to do some rearranging to accomodate the screen size and I was thinking about 8-10 feet would be appropriate for minimal defects on a screen that large?

I'm far from an expert, but I bought a 52XF550U and it's beautiful. I dont even have it running through HDMI cables yet, just composite.

I own the 52" sharp, the D64U Model. I've played the Wii on it which was ok considering I don't have the component cables and only used composite. It's not something you want to use to show off the new tv.
I'm going to be sending in my 360 today or tomorrow, so I can test it out whenever I get it back.

On my old sharp 32" the 360 looked fine at 12ms.
