RTi12's are great
RTi8 for rear might be overkill.
RTi6 bookshelf for sides is wrong. OK for rear.
Use the FXi5 for surrounds sides.

And, if you haven't bought the yamaha, I looked at that before buying the pioneer for $200 lees

How big is your room? Do you NEED 7.1 setup?

If the speakers sound good to you compared to others you listen to then you should liek this setup. Speakers are the most subjective audio thing out there. What sounds good to one might not appeal to another.

I would not recommend either of those subs.

The DLS-5000R lists for over 1000 at FS.

At 1 K or under check out the PB12-NSD for about $700 plus shippiing (if applicable) or a 20-39PC for Under 1K from Sonicboom Audio (Canada SVS dealer).
Check out http://www.funkywaves.net/catalog.cfm?item=fw_12_1 in Vancouver for a tube or custom built box sub under 1K.

There are alos somwe US based alternatives but that's another discussion.

If you want to stick to local stores also check out Paradigm's line of subs at your local stores.
