hey to all, first post, anyone have a first hand experience with Chanel Master 4228,just got the darn thing and no matter where i try to put it it gets a lot less chanels(most i got is 13) than the home made bow-tie(most it got 16) these results come from same location mounted 15' off the ground hence my question, How much it matters the hight that the antena should be at from the ground? had it at 3' and 6',9', to present 15' without noticeing any change in preformance or gain in quality, and please don`t tell me the higher the better i`m an old fart and very clumsy on a ladder (ok i`m scared of hights) and my kids want nothing to do with helping me they keep teling me to enjoy the cable and forget all the creepy ideas of mine, any other ideas will be very much apreciated

Hi woofer, can you please put your location into your user profile and then let us know in a reply here which major street corner you are nearest? That will make a huge difference for getting help from us. :)

Due its high-gain nature the 4228 has a fairly narrow beamwidth. I could be that you were getting more channels before because your "bow tie" had a wide beamwidth.
