This forum has been very quiet lately. I have noticed a few people commenting about audio drop outs but nothing else. Does that mean installs are going that well or has Bell stopped doing installs?

I know of several Tech undergoing training as we speak.

I can only imagine that Bell are going to be pushing much more in th enear future, why else would they need more trained guys.?

Had my install yesterday. I live in a very small condo (20 units) in an old building that was turned into condos about 20 years ago, so I expected problems (two tvs on different floors - got one pvr, one regular receiver).

It turned out nothing insurmountable - the install took about 3 hours for two techs - several trips from my unit to the basement where the building bell connections are, and occassional trips to the neighbourhood box somewhere nearby. The biggest challenge was using the existing in-wall cat-3 lines (from 20 years ago) to run a signal from the main unit to a secondary receiver (no coax). Works like a charm.

It will take some getting used to all the new capabilties, but there is a noticeable improvement in both picture quality & internet speed compared to Rogers. And no more crappy guide to deal with!! I actually was able to use the search function - what a concept!

Hello,

I'm strongly considering switching to this service. I have 4 tv's and the one in my bathroom is arm mounted in a corner. There is a bit of space behind the tv, but not much and I want to hide the receiver. Could somebody measure their non-pvr receiver for me? I'm looking for length, width and height.

Thanks in advance...
