all I get from the Wii is error 52042 or 52040
checked online from www.support.nintendo.com (http://www.support.nintendo.com) as well as their forum and all I get un-install and re-install.

Got a newer version than the CD and still nothing. turned off windows firewall and zip. nad. zilch.

any suggestions?

I have read that many many people have problems with these adapters. Do you not have a wireless router for the Wii to connect up to?

Does your cable internet require a LOGIN? There are many problems with PPPoE dialers and the Nintendo USB adapter. If you are using Windows XP or Vista, ensure you have a NORMAL DIAL UP ICON and that is is connected with your username and password BEFORE you install the USB adapter. That might help.

Don't think I need to login. it's not dial up. Cable internet with videotron.

Don't have wireless router though it's becoming tempting.
