Samsung HL-S4265W - blue line across bottom of screen [Archive] - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I have a Samsung HL-S4265W RP DLP that is about 1.5 years old.

Last week I noticed that there is a blue line about 1 cm tall across the entire bottom of the screen.

I have verified that it is there when using the TV with HDMI, cable, and OTA HD sources, so it's something in the TV.

The factory warranty has expired but I do have a third party warranty for it. I don't want to call the service company unless I really need to.

Any idea what it might be? Bulb? Light engine?
