Ok, I'll give it a try...

*c is advertising "some HD" for its broadcasts of NFL Sunday Ticket games.

Do you know if *c plans to show different games on HD in the ticket, over and above just the national network broadcasts?

Please keep all posts focused directly on StarChoice matters. The originator of this thread is offering StarChoice advice/assistance only.

If you absolutely must refer to other providers, keep it very simple and brief.

There have been no indications that ANY new receivers will be available anytime soon. Both the 505 and 530 are upgradeable to MPEG4.

Why won't SC add bpm:tv? Every major cable/satellite provider offers it.

I'll be moving soon and was wondering if anyone had recently signed up for Digital Basic. I noticed here:

http://www.starchoice.ca/english/documents/programming_guide_07_08_e.pdf
that they still say "packages starting from $20.00"

Last I heard it gave Canadian and US networks, east and west, in HD, and TSN and newsworld, while TSN HD was an extra $2/month. Is this still the case?

$20 is about the most I would pay for TV. Otherwise it will be rabbit ears!

*sigh* ...

Allow me.

Do you know if *c plans to show different games on HD in the ticket, over and above just the national network broadcasts?

I'm pretty sure they just mean that some of them will be on TSN HD, take that how ever you want..

I can't tell you anything about that.

The marketing department must feel that the cost of carrying it is more then the money they would make from it.

Yes, this is still the case.

This goes back to the other question about when we will have new hardware out. I can't tell you, sorry.

So the $20 digital basic package is still available for new customers? I couldn't find it in the "Store (http://www.starchoice.com/english/store/)" part of the website.

Not something they want to advertise.

Digital Basic is still available to new customer. It's not available on the website because *C employees needs to change the V-Code in the box.

Need is a tough word, "supposed too" would be a better fit.

Thanks for the replies. I was only wondering why it isn't advertised at all on the website. I assumed it was because it is so cheap.

TSN HD is pro logic on both Bell and Shaw for me, so I'm assuming that is the way TSN HD is transmitted to the providers.
