Hello,
you are very helpful and I am hoping you can help me (as you always do). I was set on buying the 5020 from Pioneer but the opinions of people close told me I would be disappointed???
They suggested, first of all, LCD over plasma (and suggested most people on consumer reports would repeat the same). They also said that I'd be happier with a Sharp or Panny (in the same size range). And if I am going with Pioneer, I might as well go elite or not at all.
Now, I asked for a reason why. They said something about fast paced action (which is contrary to what I know and have read) not being as good on the 5020. I also asked them to explain about black levels, but they didn't address it.
I explained that from anyone who is knowledgeable about TVs, when asked "if I want to buy the best TV on the market", all have pointed to Pioneer. What gives? Should I take stock at all in what was said?
Thanks for helping 'uncloud' my decision. I'd like to make the right purchase.
