Didn't see a thread on this one yet so here goes. I saw this movie the opening weekend and thought it was better than the first one. It has a good story line and I suppose it should being loosely based on the book by C.S. lewis, a great intellect.

Looks like it's done about 56 million on the first week or so, pretty good numbers, though I can't compare it to the last Narnia.

At the end of the movie is this jaw dropping song by an artist I'd never heard before, Regina Spektor. She has a gorgeous voice but doesn't sing like she knows it, unlike many female artists these days. I'm getting the soundtrack, full price, for that song alone.

I read all the books as a kid and enjoyed the first installment. Looking forward to seeing this one.

I read the books a couple of years ago, in anticipation of the first movie. I found them to be simple but generally acceptable reading. (http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showpost.php?p=359326&postcount=790)

Nevertheless, I did enjoy the first movie (http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showpost.php?p=361649&postcount=795) and I'm actually looking forward to watching the new one once it's out on DVD.

It was good... but the first one was better.
