Anyone hear if Aliant is going to expand availability of Aliant Digital TV in Saint John? I live in Millidgeville in a relatively new neighbourhood and still no sign of it.

Aliant is being very slow at rolling this service out, yet they are advertising like mad in papers, on TV, on radio, and on the sides of buses here in Halifax.

I live in a suburb of Halifax, 5mins away from my previous address where I had AliantTV (and where High Speed Max is now available), and AliantTV is not available here, nor is High Speed Max. We are across the street from a switching station, and there are thousands of people who live in this area... but Aliant is focusing on other areas right now.

I imagine it is the same deal where you live. Also, I've been to three friends' apartments downtown Halifax and their AliantTV is unwatchable - the picture freezes every few minutes, when you download anything, your TV gets messed up, or the internet is really slow.

They still need to work out a lot of kinks before a wide release.

I'm in N.B. and have Telephone, Internet, T.V. with Aliant. It's been great thus far and I haven't experienced one hiccup that you mentioned in regards to what your friends have been going through. I have the T.V. on and downloading from UseNet at the same time full tilt and not one single freeze of pixelization.

For all you high def fans who have been waiting patiently for aliant tv they are to go high defenition starting in the fall of 2008. My neighbor was getting aliant tv hooked up and I spoke with one of the tech's and he said it would be in September of 2008. I called Aliant and they confirmed it but could not give me an exact date when it would start up, that is why it is not advertised as of now, so here.s hopeing. We won,t have to deal with eastlink or satalite dishes anymore!:)

September? Thats weird.

A tech told me about 3 weeks ago they were working on having HD available for the Olympic games (as Aliant is a sponsor).
