I'm still waiting for Amazon to ship my copy of Mario Kart Wii (hopefully sometime today). It sounds like a great way to relax and unwind after a stressful day.

I saw the official extra Wii Wheels at Walmart today for $8.xx, this is a good deal b'cuz my no-name brand ones were almost this much and they do not have the 'B' button on the rear. (they are open so you can hit the remote 'B' directly)

This game is best played as multi-player so I predict that the Wii Wheels will become hard to find...snag them at Wally mart while you can!

BTW, BEST FAMILY GAME EVER!!

The online part works incredibly smooth too. Could be the most fun wii game yet!

Finally got a chance to play it. Definitely a fun game and nice to be able to steer versus use a d-pad or analog pad.

Finally, I feel the Wii we bought 3 months ago is actually worth something. My kids, myself and my wife have been playing this a lot over the past couple of days.

Great game, lots of fun and difficulty level seems just right , whether for a 7 yr-old or an adult.

Really enjoy the online portion of the game, too.

I finally went online last night with WFC. Takes a bit to get on as I'm sure the servers are pretty busy. It's fun to race against others. The registering of friends doesn't work quickly as I did that with a friend and we still didn't "see" each other online.

I bought an extra official Wii Wheel tonight at Wally World too.
It was the exact same model that came with the Mario Kart game and cost 8.xx

It has the 'B' button in the back same as the original controller.

I'm having fun with Kart. I've already gone online and raced against a bunch of others from Canada and the US. Great fun, and the random elements in the game are a great equalizer when you're a 47-year old playing the 12-year old pros online !! :)

I'm looking for Wii Wheels, everyone seems to be sold out (except Zellers who is charging 15$ for each one)

I bought the overpriced ones at TRU - I plan to return them once I find the cheaper wheels at Wal-Mart. The online aspect of the game is very addicting .. I can spend an hour telling myself I'm only going to do one more race!

Just ordered two extra from Best Buy online. There's a promo on some things that expires shortly that almost "pays" for the shipping costs. Works out to just over $10 ea - not bad considering that I've checked in on at least half a dozen places over the past few days (while on oher errands)!!

I ordered three more WiiWheels from BestBuy and just got my confirmation that I can pick them up tomorrow. They were 8.49 each(BB had a online promotion tonight with 1.50 off)

I'm really enjoying this game. It's nice how they did the ranking. I like not looking at a list where I am 300,000th slowest in a particular course.

im almost through mirror mode now...
ive had a good breakthrough the last couple days using the small characters and the bullet motorcycle. this kart has "inside drifting" which basically means when you start to drift, you turn HARD... like you can almost take 90 degree turns

it takes some getting used to, but once you master it, you can tear courses up, particularly the winding ones ... wario stadium, rainbow road etc... its really fun

Last night my wife, two kids and I played team mode for a good hour or more. We really had a blast. This is definitely a game to play with multiple players.

It's been a bit costly though. Going in I had two Wii Remotes so in the last week I have bought:

Mario Kart Wii @ $49.99
2 Extra Wiil Wheels @ 8.52 each
1 Wii Remote @ $41.79
1 Wii Play with Remote @ $51.49

Total cost about $160 but well worth it and we now have 4 remotes, 4 wheels and Wii Play!

Definitely worth it though!

i use the wheel when playing with wife and kids (it is more fun), but been using the mote and chuck for serious play

we love doing team play, cause then our youngest still gets to "win" with the team, even though he is slower.

It's weird. I can beat my kids consistently on Mario Kart Double Dash but right now they are beating me regularly on MK Wii.

Guess I need to keep practicing!

I just have to find a way to beat my wife. She always beats me on this game.
