I just don't get it.... PVRed "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on Global this past week as I hadn't seen this yet. I go to watch it and the sound is either coming from the left and right with lots of bass with no centre channel dialog or it sounds like it is being echoed in a chamber lounge, etc.

This is why stations in Canada will not take off with HD content... it's either stupid bugs or banners or they can't get the content right. I can take the occasional commercial especially for a movie that only catches my interest at a glance (but I may actually pick this one up).

I hate Global TV. First their stupid "On Global" banners at the beginning of show, bugs and banners, and then the silly advertising in sporting events (fake billboards with Canadian Tire ads), and for the life of them they can't come up with some original programming (at least CTV tries). Now they can't provide the content as intended (proper sound - HD video seemed ok)
