Down by the bridge and close to riverside, getting 5 bars on the DTB-H260F/6 bars on the LNT3242H/65-70% on the DTA1080D. However, all units are having trouble dealing with WKBD PSIP mapping to 50-1 and WPXD broadcasting on RF50. WPXD comes in on 50-3,4,5 and WKBD on 50-1. As others have said, WPXD needs to fix their PSIP, as there is no program information.

Does anyone notice a lot of artifacts though with the signal? A lot of 'snowing' and white stripes on the left side of the screen (unless of course that how it is for Cold Case)

I really hope WPXD stays on RF50 for good. I can't pull it in at all on RF31.

Im sure theyre still doing testing.Looks like they want it up for the Memorial weekend.Awesome!!!!

The signal is strong near the Ford test track , getting it with a homemade bowtie indoors.Beats the signal on RF31 from AA, I could never lock it with my crappy combo only tropo events.

Hmm, may be part of the show though. Appears to be on flashback scenes. Ill have to keep an eye on it. Its a strong looking 720p signal.

It'll be interesting to here if DHCer Phil81 is able to get it with his rig. Also, lots of tropo right now. Come Friday night it'll die down, that will give us a true indicator of RF50 potential.

A poor WPXD-50 signal here, but it was really excellent back on Jan31-Feb01 when testing was performed then.
Not a good time to test reception tonight though, tropo is screwing with things again. WEAO looks to be killing WPXD-50.

I just scanned for WPXD on 50 and my television is showing the following:

50.1 - WKBD TV 50

50.3 - WPXD ION TV
50.4 - WPXD qubo
50.5 - WPXD ION LIFE

There is no EPG for the WPXD signals, but WKBD has full EPG info.

WPXD on 31 is still on when I turn the antenna to it.

Maybe they will turn on the PSIP when they shut down the signal on 31. I imagine if they set the PSIP on 31 now, it would interfere with the actual channel 31.

Signal strength is showing at 7/10 bars at the Tecumseh/Lakeshore border.

Getting a good signal from RF 50, but PSIP is still not working (it's displayed as 50.3).

When the transmitter was fired up a few months ago, there were no issues. Only thing I'd like to see the ID displayed as WPXD instead of ION.

Just found WPXD 50.3 /.4/.5 here also in Ypsilanti Township. Good signal on the LG (about 80%). Still no PSIP. Actually seems easier to pick up than the An Arbor signal on 31.

WPXD on RF50 is gone again. Hopefully it comes back with the correct PSIP for good soon.

Anyone notice any issues with WTOL today? I'm watching 11.2 and the signal is generally good, however there are occasional moments where the signal drops way down and causes audio dropouts and pixelation. I've never had these issues when pointing at the tower, or even in the general direction.

Probably due to thunderstorms that have been down in Ohio for much of the day. Lightning "noise" does this to the VHF channels. In fact, it's doing it right now on CBET 9 from storms down around Cleveland!

Ive been trying to get WTOL 11.2 ME-tv Toledo for some time using what I have which is the small vhf/uhf combo up about 20ft. on a pole, Ford test track area.Im a huge classic tv fan.

I have alot of trees aiming at Toledo about 200/300 ft away.Anyway I really tried tweaking it recently before buying another ant.

Took the pipe wrench and turned just hair turns and kept checking the signal of WTOL.I also pointed it downward a bit.Just experimenting one last time.

And viola I have been getting it in pretty good 30-45% signal on most days as of late.Could it be tropo??? Dont know yet Im testing it and its been good so far.Maybe I got the sweet spot.

Am also getting WTVG 13.1.2.3 same % signal. Its nice to have a weather radar on 13.3 again.Of the Toledo 3 Im not getting the Toledo PBS 30.1.2.3 though.

If you havent checked out ME-tv yet, its a great station.Shows like Combat,Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea,Cannon, kojak,Honey West are just a few of the never rerun shows being shown.

Just give me now WPXD ION tv and I will be happy with what free OTA gives me.:D

The tropo has been really hot in the region the last few days. Pointing at Southfield I was getting WEWS from Cleveland a few nights ago. BUT, give it a looksy around 6am tomorrow. According to William Hepburn's Worldwide Tropospheric Ducting Forecasts (http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html) there is going to be a short tropo break in the region and that will tell you if you found a sweet spot or not.

Just to update.....About 3pm to 5pm the signal of WTOL11.2 dropped to 26% and I was pixilating and lost signal.Maybe radiation from the sun not helping at those times, however about 7ish signal was back to 34% on WTOL11&WTVG13.

Am still testing to see if its a tropo fluke or not.I do alot of scans to see what else pops up but seems dry except for once in a while WCMZ PBS flint 28 pops in for a short while even though aimed at SW to Toledo.Have not got WEWS 5 from Cleveland yet.Did alot last year though.

Im keeping my fingers crossed ME tv 11.2 is here to stay even 90% of the time....lol.

Looking at the tropo guide, from tomorrow noon for till Thursday noon tropo will disappear in the area, so you should have a big window there to test at different times of the day to get a feel.

As a side, is anyone else having issues with WCMZ? I'm not sure if its just the trees to the south of me having grown in or not, but what was a very reliable signal in the winter has pretty much disappeared for me in the last few months.

I live on the Tecumseh, near Tecumseh and Lesperance area. Prior to a few weeks back, to get a decent signal on CHWI 16, I needed to turn the rotor toward the transmitter as I could not get a good signal when pointed to Detroit. CHWI also had that annoying pixellation thing going on 16.

It has been a few weeks where I get a really good signal on 16 while still pointed to the Detroit stations and the annoying pixellation is gone. I have tested this under many different weather conditions. Has CHWI fixed the pixellation problem and boost power or is it just tropo. I don't feel it is tropo as I have tested many times and other stations I get during tropo conditions such a Toledo, whether I can see them or not, 16 always comes in good.

Wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing.

Zack, I too have gotten CHWI in at my location in Lake Orion, just North of the Palace. It was early morning on July 21st, and it is the first time I was ever able to receive the channel. In my case the reception was tropo-based. Other threads have been pointing to a possible software update at the station, but I am wondering if others have also experienced picking up this station.

I'm on the edge of CHWI's signal, but when the signal is strong, the pixelation issue that was present is no longer there.

How is the new ION channels coming in around the rest of Essex co.

92% here in Windsor for 31.1-31.3 WPXD , nice reception of indoor ant also

Tropo must be gone though my Toledo WTOL and WTVG are gone from the east end..
