In east Windsor I am picking it up strong even with the aerial aimed away at Detroit, Hopefully the CBC will be as strong.

Likewise getting TVO here in east windsor with 66% aimed at the stevenson tower toward cleveland.Still not getting global just a blip.

The funny thing is on both conv.boxes which are diff makes it registers as 62.1 SD.Is anyone else getting that.????

Who;s next to switch??? A Ch. or CBC.

Yea mapped to 62-1 right beside the actual 62-1 WWJ here too on the Centronics zat502 box. Needless to say it looks like our TVO is the last of them to be fixed.

Now appears it's off the air completely at 4:45pm.
and back on at 4:48.

I'm getting a fairly strong signal in Ann Arbor, but the PSIP info seems to be missing. One of my two digital TVs can deal with it, but the other one won't let me watch even though it's receiving a reasonable RF signal. My DISH OTA receivers are likewise unhappy with no PSIP.

CBET 9 and CBEFT 54 are off the air. Wonder if they are getting things ready for the switch????

A power outage knocked CBC/SRC off the air. Have seen this happen before where only 9 and 54 are out. Flashes of signal on 9 from the NW likely WWTV.

Can barely get 33-1 Chatham right now. WGRZ is battling it. Jeez, this 24/7 tropo needs to die just for a little bit so people can see true signal levels again.

I'm on a 5th floor apartment facing SSW in Sarnia. TVO came in for a bit on 33.1 from Chatham, but is weak. Here is what I normally get.

Fox 2 Detroit
WDIV 4.1 and This Detroit on 4.2
WXYZ 7.1 and LWN on 7.2
WMYD 20.1
Global on 29
CBC on 34
WADL 38.1 , Universal Sports on 38.2, & Word Network on 38.3
CTV on 42
CHCH on 51
WTVS 56.1 / 56.2, & Create on 56.3
WWJ-TV 62.1
French on 68

At night 50.1 WKBD usually cames too.

Lots of great info on this site. Thank you! Here is my info about Windsor ...

I also lock into 6.1 WLNS-HD and 6.2 WLNSTCN (The Country Network) but cannot view any programming (blank screen). I will try again at night.

I also lock into channel 51 which appears to be a non-dtv channel, but I am not sure.

I also lock into 43-177 and 43-193 but get "Mode not supported". Data channels perhaps?

Canadian channels ...

9 CBC (Non-digital) Snowy and just barely watchable. CBC goes digital in a week.

32 TVO (Digital) Just barely comes in during the day. I have my antenna pointed in the opposite direction from their broadcast tower.

26 'A Channel' (Non-digital) Snowy and just barely watchable during the day.

54 CBEFT French CBC (Non-digital) Gets locked in but is unwatchable. I believe this channel is going off the air soon.

In a couple weeks (after the Canadian HDTV switchover) I will attempt to obtain some Ohio channels and the new digital Canadian channels. I am still researching how to best accomplish this - I might install another antenna aimed towards the south (Ohio).

Good luck, nutN2Lewz

I am surprised you get a snowy /A\ channel. That is one station that comes in perfectly clear for me. It will be nice when it goes digital though.

Thx for the info nutN2Lewz.Im not far away from you near the test track. My small combo ant is about 15ft up and not getting everything as that.Your height is the diff and that Dgiwv.2084 ant.

To get Toledo and/or cleveland you need to gang the ant......Have one facing the D and the second ant facing lake erie.

Get a combiner and 2 pieces of rg6 coax the same length.Connect both coaxes from the 2 ant. into the combiner(available at princess auto) and the other conects to the output then into the house to the hdtv.Hope it makes sense good luck.

Here is an update to my post from yesterday ...

"I also lock into 6.1 WLNS-HD and 6.2 WLNSTCN (The Country Network) but cannot view any programming (blank screen). I will try again at night."

I tried WLNS (Lansing) last night and it worked okay. There were slight breakups every five minutes or so but it was very watchable. Not bad for a tower 76 miles from my home. The channel is out again today during the day so I guess it's only watchable at night.

I'm no fan of country music and a strange thing happened when I deleted channel 6.2 (The Country Network) from my tv channel list ...

1) There was a knock on my door and my wife came back to me.
2) My bank gave me back my pickup truck that had been repossessed.
3) My dog was not dead anymore.

I also lock into channel 51 which appears to be a non-dtv channel, but I am not sure.

Likely CHCH in Alvinston. It was supposed to go digital on Monday but there was an issue so still analog. Will be digital next week.

As of tonight when I got home 51-1 CHCHDT2 Alvinston is transmitting a digital signal. Not sure how far it will reach towards Chatham. I have a 75 signal strength here in North London, well that was till my preamp fried by recent violent weather that passed through.

The farthest the CHCH signal might reach is Belleriver.I dont believe much if any of Windsor will see that one.

I'm picking up CHCH DT2 as well on RF 51....... as of 10:13 I'm getting the audio signal but no video from here in East Windsor. Not suprising, I could pickup a descent signal of thier analog feed.

It works out well for me because I point towards Toledo usually, so this comes in from the back of my combo antenna.

The analog 51 went quite far. In fact with an outdoor antenna, I could pick it up in the eastern Detroit suburbs, and that's no small feet with WKBD right there! Signal was very snowy, but kept color.

Since I've moved SW, and with WLAJ (which sometimes locks for me) I have no shot at CHCH other than a tropo event.

Now I'm waiting for CBET which should be no problem, and for the CHWI stations, which I may or may not receive.

I got CHCH2 here in Sarnia with a signal strength of 82 at my apartment. The antenna has to be in the right spot. In analog there was always multipath. The screen is black, but considering the weather today, I'm surprised that anything was done at the transmitter site. Give them time and it should be 1080i high def.

Since I raised the antenna earlier this month, and it's been a while since I posted, here is what I receive.

My equipment is a CM3671 with rotor and amp, on a 20 foot pole above the roof. About 40 feet off the ground in all. Clear skies to the south and east, giant trees to the west and to an extent north:

2.1 WJBK (FOX) Detroit
4.1 WDIV (NBC) Detroit
4.2 ThisTV
6.1 WLNS (CBS) Lansing
6.2 Country Network
7.1 WXYZ (ABC) Detroit
7.2 LiveWell Network (lifestyle)
9 CBET (CBC) Windsor (analog, should have no problem with DTV signal)
10.1 WILX (NBC) Lansing (on some occasion has a few dropouts)
10.2 WILX Weather Network
11.1 WTOL (CBS) Toledo
11.2 WTOL Weather
13.1 WTVG (ABC) Toledo
13.2 LiveWell
13.3 WTVG Weather
16 CHWI (A/CTV2) Wheatley (picture is a little snowy- DTV not sure)
18.1 WDWO (TCT) Detroit

18.3 WDWO (TCT Family)
18.4 WDWO Spanish religious
20.1 WMYD (MyN) Detroit
22.1 CIII (Global) Stevenson (comes in very well surprisingly)
23.1 WUDT (Daystar, religious) Detroit
24.1 WNWO (NBC) Toledo
24.2 RTN
26 CHWI (A/CTV2) Windsor (quite snowy, doubt I'll receive DTV)
28.1 WCMZ (PBS) Flint
28.2 WCMZ (PBS) Flint SD/Alt Feed
28.3 WCMZ Create
30.1 WGTE (PBS) Toledo
30.2 WGTE (PBS Family)
30.3 WGTE Create
31.1 WPXD (ION) Ann Arbor
31.2 Qubo
31.3 IONLife
32.1 CICO (TVO) Windsor (480i for now)
33 W33BY (IND) Detroit (barely comes in at all ever since station moved tower and lowered power)
36.1 WUPW (FOX) Toledo
36.2 TheCoolTV (music videos!)
38.1 WADL (IND) Detroit
38.2 Universal Sports
38.3 The WORD Network (religious)

47.2 JCTV
47.3 Smile of a Child

47.5 Enlace (Spanish religious)
48 W48AV (ION, repeater of WPXD) Detroit (heavy interference, unviewable)
50.1 WKBD (CW) Detroit
53.1 WLAJ (ABC) Lansing (heavy pixelation, sometimes does not lock)
53.2 WLAJ (CW) Lansing
54 CBEFT (SRC) Windsor (moving to analog 35 in September)
56.1 WTVS (PBS) Detroit
56.2 WTVS (PBS, alt feed)
56.3 WTVS Create
62.1 WWJ (CBS) Detroit

I can also pick up signals, but rarely lock WJRT 12.1 Flint, WSYM 47.1 Lansing, WLMB 40.1 Toledo (VHF-LO!) and believe it or not CFTV 34 in Leamington. WBGU 27.1 in Bowling Green comes in occasionally, usually at night.

Obviously tropo brings in more distant stations, especially Cleveland.

I'm picking up CHCH DT2 as well on RF 51....... as of 10:13 I'm getting the audio signal but no video from here in East Windsor.
CHCH-DT2 is transmitting at 528x480i in MPEG1. There are other reports of TVs being unable to decode the video. Two of them are Samsung.
