Two other right feet, both in size 12 men's sneakers, washed ashore on Gabriola and Jedediah islands last August. RCMP collected DNA from the grisly remains but could not match them to anyone in police databases. The three islands are within 60 kilometres of each other. You have to wonder if this is some weird hoax created by somebody who has access to medical school cadavers. At least I hope it's that as opposed to some serial killer.

I've updated the thread title... this is really creepy.

I heard on noon news that all feet were right feet, size 12 and still in sneakers.

I wear size 12 but I think I will give up sneaks for the next little while...

Now we are on the lookout for sneakers... I hope my new pup doesn't find one, he seems to eat everything he finds on the beach.

I wonder if there is a connection to several missing Greater Vancouver young men in their early twenties? In the last couple of years, police and family members have appealed for any information on missing men whose cars are found abandoned in parks or secluded spots etc. often with the keys still in the ignition!
Apparently, none of the men were depressed or involved in the drug trade or had gang connections.

I hadn't heard about these young men, were they involved in the sex trade?

The male prostitute angle has never come up as far as I know. However, even if they were, it's still a tragic situation as they were all somebody's son, brother, cousin, partner, uncle, or even father!

One of the feet belonged to a female.

Ok, but seriously. While the police have been very tight-lipped, they have said that the DNA on the first four do not match any missing persons case they have so that would eliminate the mysteriously missing young men.

I had not heard about the female foot. I know several were men's size 12.

The latest find is just minutes away from where a float plane crashed and sank three years ago. Four bodies were never recovered.

Maybe nothing's afoot after all.

Ha, ha. But the foot doesn't appear to be broken off, it looks like it was cleanly cut off--this according to the person who found the foot and was interviewed on the CBC news.

a sixth foot found ! Right foot, female ?

Clearly the police aren't making any progress.

Maybe they need a hand.
