It was announced today that smackdown is leaving the CW network at the end of the 2008 "season". General thought is smackdown might end up on NBC.. :cool:

NBC? On a Friday Night? I can't see NBC showing wrestling any day of the week in Primetime

Uh.... the Main Event that used to appear infrequently on NBC on Friday nights in the late 80s and early 90s (spin off of the monthly Saturday Night's Main Event from the same era, that returned to NBC in the past couple years).

Seems plausible, as Raw is on NBC-owned USA Network, and there have been more references, cross-promotional appearances, and partnerships between NBC and WWE in the past year.

Nbc and the wwf known at the time had a long deal.It was known as saturday nigh main events and it was a very big draw for nbc.
