I have a LCD RPTV 50vs69a which the optical engine has to be replaced.
I've been waiting since October for this part.
Hitachi offered me a plasma P50H4011 for staight exchange.
Is this a good deal?? If i dont want the plasma, I have to wait .......for the part.

Probably not bad as a straight exchange.

Certainly looks like an acceptable option. Make sure it has the inputs/outputs, features you need, etc:

The only concern would be if you watch a lot of 4:3, you'll have to watch out for burn in, which you didn't in an LCD.
