Had bell for 5 years and took them over 2 weeks to come and install a new dish for $100 install. The guy was sloppy and never clipped any of the cables saying he ran out and has to come back( which never happened)
A few days ago (Thursday) I went out and got an DSR505hd for The Source for $150 on sale, went home called *c and they sent someone for a free install on Saturday from 8-9 am they called Friday to confirm. I was surprised that he come on time and installed it because there was such a snow storm on Friday. The installer was very friendly and was done in haft on hour very neat. All in 3 days Nice.

I remember when I had my dish installed, There was a vary nasty snow storm and I didn't think the installer would show up but he did. He was up on his ladder bearing the storm like a champ. I said to the installer that he didn't have to do it today because of the weather, but he insisted and he was able to ge me a good signal. This guy had a backpack with a battery, a little TV and a receiver custom made to help him find the right bird and I thought that was cool. When he was finished, I felt bad that he had to do the work in such bad weather, I went across the street to Timmies and got him a coffee which he appreciated. I have yet to have a problem with my service and believe it or not, I have never lost my signal in the 2 years with Starchoice, When I had bell, all it took was a cloud to lose my signal

Lol,
Reminds me of when my *C was installed....
The day seemed pretty normal (late fall - so a little chilly) and the installers went up to setup the dish... I have a 2 and a half story house, so it is quite tall and sorta narrow.
As soon as those guys got up there, we had this huge blowing storm startup (it was hailing out). They stayed up there and setup the dish... then, my gfriend and I were inside and we hear this loud 'BANG!!!' at the side of the house. I feared the worst (that the installer fell off and hit the concrete at the side of the house).... We went outside and found out it was just the Bell EV dish that the previous owner had up there and it fell off the roof b/c of the wind (we said it was ok to use the BEV stand and replace it with the *C dish). The BEV dish was in like 100 pieces (it pretty much shattered).
Installers were pretty awesome though and were quite impressed with my 20 year old Sony Trinitron "Man, that's a great picture!". LOL
