Hey all, I just got my Sharp Aquos LC42D64U LCD TV in today (had it ordered for weeks) and started playing with various things on it. Noticeably, I was playing my PS3 on it, and during scenes of light colors (white, etc) the screen was very bright, but as soon as I hit pause (all black except for text) the brightness went down considerably... Anyone know why this could be happening?

There is often an auto-contrast or auto-backlight setting on these TVs. I suggest you disable these appropriately and do a proper setup of the TV. See:
