So what you have appears to be 1 x 20" Dish, with a "Y" yolk, that has a Dual LNBF on the 91 side of the yolk, this is feeding 2 x Standard Defenition Receivers.

What you will need is a 2nd LNBF and an SW21. Remove the cable feeding the HD Receiver from the current LNBF, attach this cable to the Output of the SW21, then make 2 short Jumpers, from the Inputs of the SW21, run 1 to the connection you just removed a cable from and the other to the 2nd LNBF.

Go inside, and hit MENU, 6, 1, 1, run a "Check Switch".

That should be it. Providing the Dish was already Skewed.

I've purchased a 9241 and I'm still have a 6100...

I've installed my SW44 correctly with the 4 cable in and the 4 cable out...two of those goes to my 9241 and the other 2 are plug in a SW21 to finally gone to my 6100.

My 6100 work with no problem..but with the 9241....it's horrible...I cannot get 2 satellite in correctly....the first it's ok..I've got the 91 and 82 and he recognize the COM44...but in the input satellite 2...it's write that the 82 it's ok...and it's write COM21-3SAT...and the 91 is not work at all...

Someone can help me please...what this COM21-3SAT should let me know....?

Do you have the power inserter hooked up to the correct port on the SW44?

I messed up on this a few weeks back , and the results were disastrous.
Once I moved the power inserter to the correct port, voila! everything worked fine.

Carbo, You need to disconnect the sw21 and just use the outputs from sw44. Make sure you insert power into out #1.

Yes the power inserter is install...in the correct line!

I've just have to disconnect the SW21??...but my 6100 works fine....and it's not associated with my 9241?

But my 6100 it's a HD receiver I don't have take 2cables (why i'm using the SW21)...and can I choose to not use the output #1 that need the power inserter.....take the 3 and 4 line to my 9241 and the #2 directly to my 6100 ?

You should hook it up just like this....http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showpost.php?p=682419&postcount=3

The receiver thinks that because it can see an SW21 and an SW44 that there are 3 Orbital Locations when Bell only use 2, 91 & 82.

Just remove the SW21 and feed the 6100 from Port #3. The 9241 from Port #1 & 2.

Run a "Check Switch" on BOTH receivers with NO cables on the Inputs, then run again, after correcting the wiring.

I've put it out my SW21..and plug my 6100 right into the output 2...and I've got nothing...0 satellite....i've plug my 9241 in the ouput 3 and 4..and i've got nothing at all....

Thx Pinza the both works fine...but anyone noes why my 9241 is now not activated....but I've activated since 3-4days before i'm start trying to fix the problem...???

After activation the receiver needs to accept a 'hit' several times over a 2 -3 day period to work correctly, I can only guess that it missed a couple while you were having problems, sadly you might just have to call Bell and ask for them to 'hit' it again.

Hey guys, Ive had my dish up and running on 81 for a while with one d-lnb on my dish. Today I bought an upgrade kit with another lnb and a couple sw21's.

I seem to be only able to find nimiq 82... unable to find nimiq 91. I just want to cover my bases here, and make sure its a pointing problem and not a setup issue.

I attached the lnb to my dish, ran the new cables to the switch, one from each lnb into the switch. I did a check switch on the receiver (HD 6135 or something close to that number). I get these results from the check switch (attached photos)

ANy advice?

I think i need to find 91 first, then adjust skew to find 82? I can only seem to locate 82 for some reason.

That is the hard way.

The easy way is to set the skew FIRST, then hit 91 with NO SW21 CONNECTED.

When you get 91 peaked, add the SW21 into the line.

That's the way I do it. Set the skew and elevation and then rotate to find 91. Once that's done I hit 82 easily. Then fine tune.

I had to remove my dish today to install new siding and moved it over a foot when I reinstalled it. Had my signal back up in about 5 minutes after putting the dish back on the mounting arm. (in Victoria BC)

It appears I have had an SW44 fail on a single port. Not sure what caused this, nothing has changed in my setup. I can move my receivers to different ports and none will work on port 2.

Can a single port on SW44 fail?

Bell wants to charge me to send someone out to diagnose the problem ($50) and charge for a new SW44 ($150). Would be cheaper for me to switch to a new provider.

Yes it is possible, water ingress is the normal cause for failure.

You can get an SW44 much ceaper than $150. If you are certain that is the problem, just buy another.

$50 is cheap for a Service Call, that is normally $75.

The switch is mounted inside, so not sure about water issues.

I've noticed they are as cheap as $35 on ebay. Which bugs me that Bell doesn't see the value in offering to send me a replacement so that I can continue to use their service. But being a Bell customer as long as I have I should know not to expect anything from Bell.

$35 to get back up and running sounds reasonable to me.

Not sure why you would expect Bell to provide a free replacement after 3 or 4 years.

Customer satisfaction. They get money from me every month, without this switch I am down a receiver and not getting everything I pay for. For $35 (or less wholesale) they can ensure I will be a customer. But I guess they would rather soak me for $150 and make more money off me that way. Its easier to keep the customers you have happy then it is to bring in new customers.

You said yourself that these can be had for $35, so why keep saying Bell are going to 'soak' you, you DO NOT have to buy from Bell.

You also do not pay for extra receivers anymore, so if you have 3 or 4 receivers the amount you pay is the same.

With all the money you have invested in the receivers all I can say is get an SW44 for $35 and screw Bell TV and their $150 charge. You just saved $115, not too shabby.
