Hey not sure if this the correct place for this question but new here so forgive:eek:
I am finally buying a HDTV (not sure which one yet)
What I want to know is the receiver I plan on buying will be able to up covert something like a yahama RXV1700 or 1800.
Some HDTV's also have higher end digital processing built in.
If the TV I purchase has this, will there any type of conflicts with the final image.
I dont watch a lot of TV so most likely will not get switch my digital box to an HD box for sometime.
This system is for playstation 3 and blue ray movies + music
also feel free to suggest any model of HDTV 42" or 46 " supports 1080p

You may wish to first understand what the TV does. The upconversion of the AVR will often be no better than what occurs in the TV, so don't expect miracles and don't expect processing to turn SD into HD, so you may want to consider that HD STB, although if you're mostly going to be viewing the PS3, etc, then you don't need to worry about the AVR doing anything to the signal.
