I have a Sharp LC42D72U and i have my xbox 360 going through a hdmi input, and my digital cable receiver through component inputs, i'm looking into getting a new surround sound receiver and was wondering if i use the optical output from the tv into the receiver will it output 5.1 surround sound from my xbox through the hdmi? or will i have it plug the xbox directly into the receiver?
