: Dead Pixel Policies

Sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find this info on the forum...

What are the dead pixel policies for the big stores downtown Toronto?

Best Buy
Kromer Radio
Bay Bloor Radio

1. Say if I find a dead pixel within a week?
2. Say if one goes dead within ~3 months?

Probably only the stores that have a 100% satisfaction warranty will accept a return, and then only within the time limit of that warranty - perhaps 30 days...

I had some dead pixels develop in under a week on my first Sharp LC32D34U. I took it back to the shop I dealt with and they exchanged it for another one, no questions asked.

It would really depend on the store but I know the manufacturers are pretty anal about stuff like that. Basically most say there has to be a cluster of several in a tightly-closed group before they'll warranty it.

Thanks for the info guys - yep, 30 days is pretty standard - called to verify.

I ended up ordering the LCDTV tonight.
