I just bought my first LCD TV (32 inch). Got it from a 'cheapo' place so the salesman tried very hard to talk me into adding a 'Line Conditioner' by Monster (about $75). He swore up and down that I pretty well HAD to have one if I was buying an LCD TV. The installation manual certainly makes no mention of the benefit of or need for a power line conditioner. I live in a major Canadian city and power disruptions (and lightning) are not very common. I have no idea of how 'clean' and consistent our power is though. What do others think? Is a Line Conditioner a wise decision?
