Poor Amanda. She was right to boot Cerie, as she had a better chance against Parvarti. I think she lost a lot of the jury's respect by crying before her final three vote. Then she made a really poor case for herself at the final council. Why not bring up the challenges she won? She didn't do a good job answering some of the questions put to her by the jury either.

I think any of the final three would have been a deserving winner. I'm glad Natalie got booted. And what was with that bizarre question she asked Parvarti?

Based upon that question and the followup verbage I think she has hitting on her.

It seemed a few folks didn't know how to vote. I wouldn't either. None of the above would have been fitting.

Amanda lost because she came across as phoney (in the eyes of a few anyway).

The last time this series went to Africa it was painful to watch. Let's hope that the HD beauty can save the show the next time around.

This result caught me off guard. I've been really good at picking the winner and I was sure Amanda would win 5 to 3. As good as Parv played, I thought she pissed too many people off. Nice to look at in a bikini though.

Just wondering what would have happened if the final vote was 4-4? Is the tiebreaker based on votes against during gameplay? Who can build the fastest fire? Mud wrestle competition?

Oh ya, I was also wondering about a tie. Even if you had a final 3 and not 2, a tie was still possible.

hmmmm

I think people Ms. Shallow (fitting last name) as the fiercer competitor.

Why didn't Jeff poll the jury and ask them their reasons for voting the way they did?

James99: Yes the last time they went to Africa the show was boring because of the desert and odd tree. This time it looks like they picked a country that gets lots of rain which will look good in HD (not the rain but the lush foliage).

... amongst the eye candy. At least for the first few days anyways. ;)

No doubt, this year's Survivor was one of the best ever.

However, the winner was a bit of a let down. Pavarti? What did she do?(Other than look good).

Amanda also (it can be argued) didn't deserve to win. But at least she won challenges when she had to. She was targetted once, and pulled through. She's a fierce competitor.

I don't recall Pavarti winning anything.

Left out, in real life, in the wilderness, Pavarti would die long befor Amanda.

Of the three, Cirie probably deserved to win.

I was actually rooting for Eric. He survived longer than anyone expected. If he had not given the idol away, he could have continued to win challenges and been in the final two. I think he would have had a good shot at winning given how nice he was.

I think Natalie asked her question because she was looking for a date. I also think that despite her I-couldn't-have-made-it-up-better-myself-name, Parvati Shallow looked weird--with and without clothes and makeup.

I always enjoy the finale of the show after watching them dirty in next to no clothing for so mnay weeks. Seeing how different they all look after a few good showers, a hair cut (although some could still use one :) ) and some clean clothes.

I think both the final 2 deserved it. They made it to the final 2. Doesn't really matter what they did to get there, or if it was luck or not that people had to leave, the end result speaks for itself.

Parvati was defintiely a more "in your face" player, but Amanda wasn't stupid even though she had the puppy-dog eyes most of the time. As she said, she is just more "reserved" and I think she was a lot more involved in things than we got to see.

I did think though based on the editing at least that they were setting up Amamnda as the winner, but I should know better as they usually throw it the other way.

I wouldn't mind being "stuck" on an island with either of them.... or both :)

I doubt Amanda will go back for a third round if offered. Seems she has had enough for a while.

It would be interesting to see "raw" feeds similar to what they have on Showtime 2 for Big Brother after hours. That's when you get to see the real people (or as real as they can be given the situation) rather than what the producers decide to show you.

I also think that despite her I-couldn't-have-made-it-up-better-myself-name, Parvati Shallow looked weird--with and without clothes and makeup.
She does have a weird smile. I don't think I could do that even if I wanted too :)

The commercial was in HD, comprised of upconverted SD material. I doubt that this will ever be taped in HD.
Revisiting this thread to say HA !! I wasn't that far off.

If A reality show had the audience to go HD first, that was the one and I'm sure glad they did.
